Nexus Historia
The Universal Timeline
One past. Countless possibilities. The Universal Timeline is a shared alternate-history story that travels around the globe, one contribution at a time.
Every moment leaves a consequence
Read the latest moment and its consequence, then write what happens next. Contributions follow the order they are added, rather than being rearranged by their historical dates. Continue the current story or open a crack in history to explore another possibility. Contributions are checked before publication.
Follow the story around the globe
Spin the globe, explore its pins and select a moment to see its location. Choose a place when contributing; you do not need to enter coordinates. The globe uses modern coastlines as a geographic reference, not historical borders.
Read freely, add your own moment
Anyone can read the public timeline without signing in. Contributing is free with an eligible signed-in account. Personal accounts are for adults aged 18 and over. Alternate-history moments are creative counterfactual fiction, not established historical fact.
An immersive story, with optional illustrations and narration
Open the immersive experience to read the moments as a story. Authors can choose to generate illustrations and saved AI narration for their own moments using credits, with the cost shown before generation. Saved media is available for everyone to enjoy. Moments without illustrations remain readable, and Read Aloud is free.
